What is PocketSplitter?
PocketSplitter is a group expense sharing application. It helps you track shared expenses, split bills with roommates or friends, and calculate exactly who owes who, eliminating awkward conversations about money.
How do I create a group?
Once logged in, tap the "+" button in the groups list. Choose a group name, add a category and currency, and tap create. You can then invite members by sharing the unique group invite code.
Can I split expenses unequally?
Yes! When adding an expense, you can choose to split it equally among all members, by exact amounts, by percentages, or by custom shares depending on who consumed what.
Is PocketSplitter free to use?
Yes, PocketSplitter is completely free for basic expense splitting and group management. We do not charge fees to track your expenses.
How are debts settled?
PocketSplitter uses a debt simplification algorithm. It minimizes the total number of transactions required to settle up. You can mark debts as settled manually or use UPI deep-linking directly inside the app.
Is my financial data secure?
We take security very seriously. All communications between the app and our database are encrypted using SSL. We do not store any sensitive bank credentials or payment details on our servers.
